The decisive advantage over many cloud automators is that the delivery runs self-hosted. On your own server in Germany or the EU, the data stays with you. As an AI automation agency we build exactly that way. No foreign cloud provider between your data and the workflow, no lock-in, no open question about where the invoices or customer data end up. That is why we prefer self-hosted tooling over pure SaaS automators whenever data protection matters.

An n8n workflow alone follows rules. As soon as a task becomes unstructured, it needs AI. We place AI nodes directly in the n8n flow. One node reads a free-form email and decides where it belongs. Another summarizes a long document, a third phrases a reply in the right tone. That turns a rigid automatism into a flow that also handles fuzziness. What is n8n?
n8n is a fair-code workflow automation tool (source available). You connect apps, data sources and AI into a flow that handles tasks on its own. The big advantage is that n8n runs self-hosted, on your own server, keeping the data under your control.
Why n8n instead of Zapier or Make?
Because n8n runs self-hosted and its source code is available. Zapier and Make are pure cloud services, the data sits with the provider and costs rise with volume. n8n gives you control over the data, no lock-in and free AI integration in the flow. Where a ready integration is faster, we still use Make.
Does n8n really run GDPR-aware?
Yes, when set up right. We run n8n self-hosted on your server in Germany or the EU. Data does not leave your control without reason. Where an external AI model is needed, we pick privacy-friendly options and document the processing.
How fast is the first n8n workflow up?
A clearly scoped workflow often runs in a few days. The self-hosted n8n setup is a one-time addition, after which building further workflows goes faster. We deliberately start with a running first case so you see value early.
